Innovative ad formats
Inclusive of pre-, mid- and post-roll video, a video ad is akin to a traditional commercial in that it provides a suite of options that accommodate advertisersí need to tell a story using visuals, animation and sound.
Pre-Roll & Post-Roll
Deliver a powerful branding message by pairing a five-second pre-roll that appears prior to the initiation of user-selected content, followed by a thirty-second post-roll to reinforce the brand message.
A pre-roll is a short video advertisement that runs prior to, during, or upon the completion of publisher content. It can run side-by-side with a companion banner, keeping your message in sight as the user continues on to view content.
Persuade people in a more meaningful way by employing a thirty-second mid-roll that appears during content viewing, creating an online experience that is similar to standard television viewing.

Specific Media also offers an array of custom video advertising solutions:
The Ad In unit automatically delivers multiple messages to enable additional interaction during the pre-roll advertisement. Once a pre-roll video begins, an interactive overlay appears on the lower-third of the screen. If users click on the graphic, the corresponding content is displayed within the video player or the user is redirected to a pre-designated URL. If users do not click on the overlay, the unit simply remains on the screen throughout the pre-roll play.
The Ad Curtain is a click-to-initiate format that provides access to additional content during the pre-roll advertisement. Upon rollover, the pre-roll video pauses and an interactive overlay enters from the left or right side of the screen. Users can then click the Ad Curtain to select desired ad content or remove the mouse from the unit to resume the play of their pre-roll content.
The Ad Xtend unit presents tiled options for additional long-form content post pre-roll video. After users view a pre-roll ad, the end slate wallpaper presents additional advertising content options, which can be selected for further viewing. If no selection is made, users will continue on to their originally selected publisher content.
The Ad Selex unit presents tiled advertising options prior to pre-roll video. Prior to the initiation of their selected video content, users are presented with a slate of two or three ad options from which they can select. If a choice is made, the selected ad begins to play. If no ad is chosen, a default ad is displayed.
