Specific Media Boosts UK Sales Team with Appointment of Martin Galvin as Director of Agency Sales

London, UK – 1 July 2010 – Specific Media, the pioneering online advertising specialist, today announced the appointment of Martin Galvin as Director of Agency Sales in the UK. Reporting to Ian Dowds, Vice President UK, Martin will lead the 28 strong sales team and be responsible for helping to further promote Specific Media’s offering amongst advertising agencies.

"Martin brings a wealth of experience in driving sales across all media platforms and has well-established relationships among the agency community," said Ian Dowds, VP UK, Specific Media. "As such, Martin will play a pivotal role in helping us both deepen and broaden our relationships with advertising agencies and support our continued growth trajectory. Martin joins Specific Media from IDS (Interactive Digital Sales), one of the UK’s leading convergent sales operations. In this role, Martin was responsible for sales, negotiation and advertiser strategy across TV and online platforms, as well as for developing trading models for their video-on-demand product.

Previously, Martin worked for eight years at Starcom Mediavest, latterly in the role of TV Group Director. Responsible for planning and buying TV, radio and cinema media, his clients included EMI, 20th Century Fox, Alfa Romeo, Activision and Flybe.
