Specific Media appoints Derrick Faulkner as Director of UK Ad Operations
London, UK - 24 January 2011 – Specific Media, Europe’s largest independent digital media platform, today announced the appointment of former Bauer Media head of delivery Derrick Faulkner as director of UK ad operations.
Bringing with him more than 12 years’ experience in online advertising at both Bauer and ITV.com, Faulkner will help build on Specific Media’s growth in the UK over the last two years and drive its strategic growth plans.
Heading a team of 13, Faulkner will play a major role in maintaining Specific Media’s client service levels. He will be responsible for the trafficking, delivery and performance of all campaigns in the UK, and will oversee the integration of new technologies. Faulkner will report to Virginia Ammann, VP European Operations.

In his four years at Bauer, Faulkner was responsible for the ad operations team’s campaign management, delivery, optimisation and reporting. He also played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of Bauer’s digital product offering, leading research and testing and preparing the sales teams to take them to market. Prior to his position at Bauer, he spent eight years as Operations Manager at ITV online, where he was responsible for running the sales operations ITV.com.
