Specific Media appoints Graeme Hutcheson from Mediacom

London, 22 May 2012: Specific Media, Europe’s largest independent digital media platform, today announced the appointment of Graeme Hutcheson as Head of Video, UK.

A recognised industry leader in video, Hutcheson joins from Group M’s Mediacom where he drove the agency’s move into Video on Demand, as Associate Director of Futures & Implementation. In a newly created position at Specific Media, Hutcheson will bring his expertise in VOD, emerging platforms, and a wealth of experience in the TV market to drive Specific Media’s video proposition from a sales and product perspective. He will also use his extensive background in the area to evolve Specific Media’s emerging iPTV strategy.

Hutcheson brings with him eight years experience in online video. In his previous roles he has been a consistent innovator, with a significant track record in live testing the role of video in driving incremental reach to TV. Throughout his career he has been instrumental in exploring commercial opportunities across new broadcast platforms, particularly VOD.
