Specific Media appoints company veteran Paul Oronoz as UK Country Manager

[London, 27 June 2012] Specific Media announces the appointment of Paul Oronoz as Country Manager for the UK. In his new role, Oronoz is tasked with cementing Specific Media’s leadership position in the UK, as well as spearheading a transformational new approach to digital media.

A priority area for Oronoz will be to ensure Specific Media UK is prepared for the significant changes in the way digital media content reaches audiences, as the market adapts to multi-screen consumers. He will report directly into Specific Media’s Managing Director International, Colin Petrie-Norris.

Oronoz joins from Specific Media’s California headquarters where he was Vice President Western US Sales. Playing a vital role within Specific Media since 2004, Oronoz joined the company as its twelfth employee, having previously been its banker whilst at Bank of America. After being appointed as Specific Media’s first Sales Manager, he was soon tasked with expanding the company’s presence across the Western United States as the company grew into new markets, opening and overseeing offices in Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco and Seattle.

Colin Petrie-Norris said, “Digital media used to be about optimising campaigns solely across websites, but today this takes place not only across websites, but on multiple screens, devices and formats. We expect Paul to deliver a transformational strategy that will enable our clients to effectively and seamlessly reach digital consumers, by bringing knowledge and technological advancements from the US that will cement Specific Media’s position as a leading digital media company within the UK market.”

Paul Oronoz said, “Three years ago Specific Media helped define digital media, creating the template and setting the standard for the way every other company in the space operates. The way consumers interact with digital has changed immensely in that short space of time and Specific Media has changed too. We are now ready to positively disrupt the marketplace again, redefining the way digital media companies work with brands and buyers to reach consumers. The UK is one of the biggest markets for digital content and I am excited that I will help write a new chapter in our company’s future.”
